19 HRS AGO - grounds where Norwich City have played, that no longer exist.......The Victoria Ground was the home of Stoke City Football Club from 1878 until 1997, a period of 119 years, and when demolished it was said to be the oldest football ground in the world. Norwich City were not regular visitors during this time, in fact they did not play there until 1960 (a 1-1 draw), but a victory in April 1997 (2-1) meant they were one of the last away teams to win at the Victoria Ground. In fifteen Football League visits in the top two flights of English football, the Canaries won three times in all (1976 (2-0) and 1985 (3-2) being the other occasions) and also triumphed in their only FA Cup appearance there in 1982 (1-0). Two League Cup visits, in 1965 and 1987, both resulted in home wins. The Victoria Ground was much loved by supporters of Stoke City and held special memories for them. Stanley Matthews, Gordon Banks and Dennis Viollet all graced the stadium during their careers. When Stoke FC Collapse

So far the news centres almost entirely on those not being retained by their present clubs for next season. He has been at Pittodrie since January 2012 and made 35 appearances for the Granite City outfit. Michael Spillane is on the move again having been made a free agent by Southend United.
